BILLINGS AND FEES:

Margaret River Medical Centre is a private billing practice and fees are payable at the time of consultation. Our GP’s may Bulk Bill at their discretion at times or discount the private bill option.

The fees at Margaret River Medical Clinic are determined by a combination of factors including – the Australian Medical Association recommended rates and costs associated with running a medical practice.
These fees below are indicative of fees billed by doctors in the practice and patients should be aware that individual doctors may bill at different rates. Charges will vary depending on the length of time you spend with the doctor and the complexity of your medical condition.

PROCEDURES
· The cost of procedures varies with the type of procedure and its complexity; please ensure you enquire about any costs prior to the procedure.
· Medical consumables used as part of your treatment may attract a separate fee.
· Travel vaccines will incur an additional fee
GP Management Plans, Team Care arrangements, Health Assessments and Mental Health Treatment Plans fees range between $52 – $85 out of pocket.

A comprehensive list of fees is displayed in our waiting room area. Please ask our reception staff if you have any questions about fees that are not addressed by the information displayed. It is practice policy that all accounts are settled in full on the day of your consultation; EFTPOS, MasterCard, Visa and cash accepted.
Credit card telephone payments accepted.

The practice now offers Medicare Ezyclaim: for eligible services your Medicare Rebate is paid back to your DEBIT CARD immediately after you have paid your account at the practice.
We also encourage our patients to register their bank account details with Medicare to allow for prompt reimbursement of the Medicare rebate to the nominated bank account. Patients can register online atwww.humanservices.gov.au/online or download a Medicare Bank Account details form.
If your doctor refers you to another doctor, a specialist, or for any investigative tests please ask about fees and other costs that may arise.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you are unable to attend for a scheduled appointment, please contact us to cancel or change your appointment time. A fee may be charged for failure to attend or cancellation at short notice or regular none attendance. (Please note: this fee is not Medicare rebatable).

PRIVACY:
Your privacy is important to us and no information is available or shared with any other parties other than health professionals.

RESULTS:
Results cannot be given over the phone and must arrangements must be made with your GP about how to receive results. This may often involve a follow up appointment.
Unfortunately our friendly reception staff will not be able to provide you with your results. They will be able to make further bookings for you to see your GP if required.

WAITING TIMES:
We understand that your time is important and we work our utmost towards meeting your appointment on time. Although our GP’s work towards being on time for you appointment, the nature of every presentation can vary immensely and at times your GP may be behind schedule for various reasons.

It is very important when making your booking for a visit to stipulate whether you need a short, long or extended appointment. This will help us run on time. At times your GP may find a number of issues that need addressing and may have to reschedule another appointment to attend to these matters.
We do appreciate your understanding and patience on these occasions.
